We teach the Bible in a fun, kid-friendly way every Sunday.
We believe that kids belong in the story of what God is doing at Emmaus, not just entertained while it happens next door.
Emmaus Kids runs during the full Sunday service so your children can be cared for and taught while you worship — and so we can be your partners in their faith, not just their childcare for the morning.
What to expect
From infants through 5th grade, your kids will be in age-appropriate classes led by background-checked, trained volunteers. We teach the Bible — not just morals or characters, but the actual story of Scripture — in ways that are engaging and true to the text, week after week. Emmaus Kids utilizes a curriculum called HyFi, produced by LifeWay Resources.
Here’s a breakdown by age-group of what we’ll be doing:
Infants - Developmental play and holding/care from serve team members
Toddlers - Lots of fun toys and activities for independent play, story time where serve team members read from gospel-centered books, and snack time
Preschool/School Age - Independent play with toys and games, worship music/dancing, Bible story videos from HyFi, Bible story activities/coloring pages, and snack time.
Safety, taken seriously
Every Emmaus Kids volunteer undergoes a background check before serving. We use a secure check-in system so you always know exactly where your child is, and our classrooms are staffed at safe ratios for every age group.
New to Emmaus?
First Sunday with kids in tow can feel like a lot. Come a few minutes early — our Emmaus Kids team will walk you through check-in and get your child settled before the service starts. We'd love to meet your family.
